Exhaust Duct Installation

MESAB Successfully Delivers Complex Dry Dock Project

MESAB has successfully completed a critical technical scope during a recent cruise ship dry dock, delivering high-quality results within a tight project schedule.

The scope of work included the prefabrication, removal, and replacement of more than 60 meters of exhaust ducting. The ducting was fully insulated and clad prior to installation, reducing onboard work time and ensuring optimized system performance.

In addition, 32 resilient mounts on scrubber towers and exhaust gas boilers were replaced, restoring effective vibration isolation and ensuring long-term system integrity.

To further enhance operational flexibility, MESAB also installed new isolation valves on existing Filtrex units, improving the performance and operability of the vessel’s Advanced Air Quality System (AAQS).

All work was executed in strict accordance with the project schedule and with minimal lost hours, despite the complexity and limited access conditions typically associated with dry dock operations. The project was delivered to the highest quality standards, supporting long-term reliability and customer satisfaction.

MESAB would like to thank our dedicated project team and valued partners for their strong collaboration, professionalism, and commitment throughout the project.
